Governor's Awards


Established in 1990 by Governor Stan Stephens, the Governor's Awards for Excellence provide an opportunity to honor and recognize exceptional state employees in Montana State Government.  Please help us by nominating individuals or teams who have achieved exceptional accomplishments.  

Any state employee may nominate a fellow state employee or a team of state employees for an award.  The number of awards given is based on the number of employees in each department and its attached agencies.

We invite you to nominate an individual or team who has accomplished excellent achievements.  Please complete the appropriate nomination form below and return it to your department's HR team.

Important Dates:

July 20 - August 3

Open Nominations - Any state employee may nominate a fellow state employee or a team of state employees for an award. 

August 3 - August 12 

Agency Selection Committee Review 

August 15 - August 26

Final Agency selections approved 

August 29

Deadline for award winners' information sent to State Human Resources
