The following links are good resources for making the most of your paycheck. Please visit the educational resources available on these sites:

Financial Education
This website is provided by the Federal Government giving you information on all aspects of your money including retirement, savings, education, credit, responding to life events, and much more.

IRS Withholding Calculator
The purpose of this application is to help employees to ensure that they do not have too much or too little income tax withheld from their pay. It is not a replacement for Form W-4, but most people will find it more accurate and easier to use than the worksheets that accompany Form W-4. You may use the results of this program to help you complete a new Form W-4, which you will submit to your employer.

Paycheck City
This link has net pay calculators that give you estimates on what your take home pay will be based on the information you enter. Use the paycheck calculator if you only have one rate of pay, and use the hourly paycheck calculator if you have more than one position with different rates of pay. The W-4 Assistant is a useful tool that will take you step by step through the process of filling out a Form W-4, including a completed W-4 to print and submit to your agency payroll staff.

Free Credit Reports
A recent amendment to the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act requires each of the nationwide credit reporting agencies to provide you with a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months, as long as you request it through the contacts listed on this website.

National Payroll Week
This link provides resources for various aspects of your pay including tax tables, Social Security, Savings Plans, and other ways to manage your paycheck.
