Employee Profile 2008 (pdf)

The Employee Profile answers the most frequently asked questions about state employees. The profile also serves to report to the Governor on the status of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program, required by Executive Order 24-81.

Chapter I contains general statistical information about state employees in executive, legislative and judicial branches of government (see organizational charts), such as number of employees in the agency, regular versus temporary/seasonal employees, employee leave information and EEO status (race, sex, disability and age) by agency.

Chapter II contains information on the Equal Employment Opportunity and classification and pay programs and includes information on employee compensation by pay plan and EEO category.

Employee Incentive Program Report

The Department of Administration's report to the Legislature of the activity during the last biennium for the state's employee incentive program. This report contains a list of the state agencies that granted incentive awards, the amounts of the awards, and the resulting or projected savings and improvements in the effectiveness of state government.

Total Compensation Report 2006 (formerly In-State Salary Survey)

The Total Compensation Report compares salary and benefits data gathered in market surveys to that of employees in the state classified pay plans. Salary and benefits survey data is combined to estimate total compensation in the Montana labor market. Total compensation in this survey includes base salary, longevity, employer contributions to life, dental, vision, mental health and medical insurance plans; paid sick, annual leave and holiday hours; and employer contributions to retirement plans.
