Broadband Pay Plan (020)
The Broadband Pay Plan was adopted into Legislation in 2001, see section 7 of the (MCA 2-18-303), as an alternative to the Statewide Classified Pay Plan (060). The plan simplifies the classification of positions, increases the emphasis on market-based pay, and promotes competency-based human resource systems including compensation (See Policy 3-05-1 , Broadband Pay Plan Policy). It also provides flexibility for adoption of other job and employee-based pay components. Pay raises are at the discretion of agency management and the collective bargaining process where applicable. For a list of Job Classes, see Job Code Inventories for Broadband Pay Plan 020.
